Desktop Banjo is a program for studying the 5-string banjo. Users can learn songs by watching an animated banjo neck as it plays each note. Songs can be played at any speed and any section of a song can be looped for practice. Desktop Banjo can create ASCII tablature for uploading to internet newsgroups or graphic tablature for printing. Several popular tunings are included and custom tunings can be created. A full chord dictionary containing many chord types is included. The shareware version will not save files but it has all other functions enabled, including tablature printing and midi file output. Sample songs included.
